We have reached our target and have sufficient funds to build the third and final storey. Tandrang will have a High school as well as the Primary school and all 800 pupils will have new classrooms! We will build through the monsoon season and open as soon as possible, probably by October.

What a great year we had in 2009!
When I sat in Tandrang in May and decided to try to make some small difference to the community, I could not have imagined the response I would receive, that we would be in a position to complete our first school within a year of starting out or that we would be providing uniforms to over 200 pupils. I did not expect to have as a team such committed and dedicated professionals and I continue to be humbled by the growing support shown by the ever growing Yak community.
